Friends hosted us for a day out in East Hampton, Long Island. It was incredibly refreshing and I even got ahead on my laundry while out there.
For entertainment there was a youngster and cats:
On a dune hike we found fungus to photograph (red soldiers):
The beach was cold but sunny:
I got a little work in; the host let me trim the tree in the front yard. That pile of brush on the left all came out from the little cherry tree on the right in this photo. The thing had never ever been trimmed.
In the back yard was a a great big patriarch of a cherry tree with stout branches split and curled and growing in an odd array of directions.
