I like the high contrast of each of these city plans. First, Scottsdale, Arizona, where the city plan put a very clear delineation forbidding development to the right of the road in the middle of the photo (except for a community college campus). Then, San Manuel, Arizona, where there are no houses on the right side of the image because that is where the copper mine is. San Manuel's population is about 4000. The mine opened in 1953 and closed just a few years ago.
